ÉVITEZ LE MOT-A-MOT
Dans les expressions suivantes, la mauvaise traduction (faux) précède la bonne (vrai).
Faux : As it is said in the introduction. Vrai : As we said in the introduction.
Faux : Everyone is not capable to do an effort. Vrai : Not everyone is capable of making an effort.
Faux : Faced to theses problems. Vrai : Confronted with/When faced with these problems.
Faux : I am agree with the proposition. Vrai : I agree with the proposal.
Faux : In a first time. Vrai : To begin with.
Faux : In what concerns me. Vrai : As far as I'm concerned.
Faux : It exists two possibilities. Vrai :There are two possibilities/options.
Faux : It is for this that I feel. Vrai : This is why I feel.
Faux : It knows a great success. Vrai : It is extremely successful.
Faux :She broke herself the leg. Vrai : She broke her leg.
Faux : The most important is that. Vrai : The most important thing is that.
Faux : We are numerous to think. Vrai : Many people think.
Faux : We were four in the car. Vrai : There were four of us in the car.
Faux : When I had 13 years old. Vrai : When I was 13.
